About the treatment
No implants, no fat transfer, no operating room
The phrase “butt lift” is borrowed from surgery, and it sets an expectation this treatment cannot meet. Nothing is inserted, nothing is harvested from one part of you and injected into another, and no volume is added. Saying that plainly at the top of the page saves everybody a disappointing conversation later.
What we do instead is work on what is already there. Fat sitting around and under the curve is reduced with the same ultrasound and laser technology used elsewhere on the body, while heat delivered into the skin over it encourages firmness. The result is a shape that reads as higher and tighter because the outline has changed, not because anything was added.
It is entirely non-surgical. You lie on your front at our Wynford Drive clinic in North York, a warm handpiece is worked over the area, and you leave and get on with your evening. No anaesthetic, no recovery, no sleeping on your front for six weeks.
How it works
Three things changing at once
The area is treated as a whole rather than as a single spot, and the outcome is the sum of these.
Fat around the frame is reduced
The pocket at the top of the thigh and the softness at the outer hip are what blur the line. Taking those down defines the curve more effectively than anything done to the curve itself.
The skin over it firms
Controlled warmth in the dermis is read as a signal to build. Over a course that shows up as smoother skin and less visible dimpling, which is usually what people mean when they say lifted.
Circulation and drainage improve
Fluid retention and sluggish lymphatic flow make the area look heavier than it is. Working over it repeatedly moves that along, and it is part of why the change starts showing before the fat reduction has finished.
Want smoother and firmer rather than bigger?
Candidacy
Four people, and what we would say to each
This treatment suits some goals very well and others not at all. Find yourself on this list before you book anything.
“I want it smoother and firmer”
This is the goal the treatment is built for, and the one clients are most consistently pleased with. Dimpling on the upper thigh and the back of the buttock is where the visible change usually lands.
“I have lost weight and it looks deflated”
Firming the skin and tidying what is left around the edges genuinely helps here. If elasticity has gone entirely, we will be honest that what we can achieve is limited rather than take the booking.
“I want more projection”
Then this is not your treatment and we will say so at the consultation. Adding volume means surgery. What we can offer instead is muscle sculpting, which builds the muscle underneath rather than adding anything on top.
“I want to lose weight overall”
Wrong tool entirely. This is contouring of one area in someone whose weight is already stable, and used as a weight-loss strategy it is an expensive disappointment.
Indications
What is it good for?
Shape, texture and firmness across the buttocks and upper thighs.
Stretch marks are a texture problem rather than a contour one and belong elsewhere. For fat on the stomach or flanks see laser lipo cavitation. Everything available in north Toronto is on our Toronto clinic page.

Why here
What sitting down for a living does to this area
Our clinic sits in an office district, and a large share of the people who book this spend most of their waking hours in a chair. It shows up in a particular way.
Long commutes on either end of the day
Forty minutes on the Don Valley Parkway, a day at a desk, then the same again. That is a great deal of time with the glutes switched off and the tissue compressed, and the flattening people notice is partly that.
The gym does not always fix it
Plenty of our clients train seriously and still have a specific soft area that refuses to change. Where your body stores fat is not something training votes on, and that is the gap this treatment addresses.
Circulation is part of the problem
Static sitting slows lymphatic drainage through the hips and upper thighs, and stagnant fluid reads as heaviness and dimpling. This is one reason people see a change here sooner than they expect.
Start it in the winter
A course is eight to twelve appointments about a week apart. Beginning in the new year, while nothing else is competing for the calendar, is how it gets finished before anyone thinks about a beach.
Training hard and still stuck with one soft area?
Getting ready
Pre & post treatment
Simple on both sides, and water is doing more of the work than anything else on either list.
Before each appointment
- Hydrate from two days out. The disposal of everything released depends on it.
- Come with the area bare and clean — no body cream, oil or self-tanner.
- Eat lightly beforehand rather than arriving on an empty stomach.
- Bring or wear something comfortable that gives easy access to the area.
- Tell us about pregnancy, implants or any circulatory condition when you book, not at reception.
Afterwards
- Warmth and slight pinkness for an hour or so, occasionally a little tenderness the next day.
- Keep drinking across the whole week, not just on the day.
- Walk. Moving after a session genuinely helps the drainage the treatment relies on.
- No sauna, steam or hot tub for 48 hours, and keep alcohol light.
- Keep to the weekly rhythm. A course with gaps in it is a course that underperforms.
Results
Non-surgical butt lift before and after
A You Glow Aesthetics client after a course of sessions. What has changed is the outline and the smoothness of the skin; the size of the area has not been increased and was never going to be.

Individual outcomes vary with starting shape, skin elasticity, how many sessions are completed and whether weight stays steady. Change tends to appear progressively across a course and keeps developing for some weeks after the last appointment.
