Butt Laser Hair Removal

Hair on the buttocks, often a result of sitting, can lead to painful bumps and pimples due to broken or ingrown hairs. Laser hair removal offers a lasting solution to unwanted hair on the buttocks.

What is Butt Laser Hair Removal

Full butt laser hair removal covers both buttock cheeks, excluding the thong line, and each session lasts 15 to 20 minutes. The procedure utilizes selective photothermolysis, where the laser targets hair follicles, inhibiting future growth. It’s generally safe, with potential side effects like temporary discomfort and redness.

Pre & Post Treatment

At You Glow Aesthetics, we want to make sure you get the absolute best results from your session. Follow our simple care guidelines below to maximize your treatment

Pre-Treatment

  • Shave Only: Shave the area completely 12–24 hours before your visit. Do not wax, tweeze, thread, or pluck for 4 weeks prior.

  • Sun Protection: Avoid unprotected sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners on the area for at least 2 weeks leading up to your session.

  • Prep Skin: Arrive with clean skin. Ensure the treatment zone is completely free of body lotions, oils, creams, or deodorants.

  • Clothing: Wear loose, comfortable clothing and clean underwear to prevent friction immediately after your appointment.

Post-Treatment

  • Sensations: Mild redness, small bumps, or a “sunburn-like” warmth in the treated area is completely normal and temporary.

  • Avoid Heat & Sweat: Skip hot showers, baths, saunas, and strenuous workouts for 24–48 hours to prevent irritation or breakouts.

  • No Hair Pulling: Do not wax, tweeze, or pluck shedding hairs between sessions—only shaving is permitted.

  • Clothing & Friction: Wear loose-fitting clothes and breathable fabrics for the first 24 hours to avoid rubbing the sensitive skin.

  • Gentle Care: Avoid harsh body scrubs, loofahs, or active skincare ingredients on the treated area for 48 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Butt Laser Hair Removal permanent?

Yes, it provides long-term hair reduction, typically achieving 80-90% less hair. Any future regrowth is usually much finer and lighter.

Most clients need 6 to 8 sessions, spaced 6-8 weeks apart. This ensures all hair is treated while it is in the active growth phase.

Discomfort is minimal (like a warm, quick snap), often less painful than waxing. The actual laser time is very fast, usually lasting 5 to 15 minutes.

You must shave the entire treatment area within 24 hours of your session. Do not wax, pluck, or bleach the hair for at least 4-6 weeks prior.
